Google honored this and gave you the option to make a cure for the worst case that your loved one says that a family member or friend can access your account and get some of that data back.

What is an Inactive Google Account Manager?

Trusted Connections will receive a notification if your account has been inactive for a specified period of time. They will not allow any messages during the setup process. Addicts can also choose to send a reasoned message that can be forwarded to a trusted contact if Google shares the data with them. A Google spokesperson explains that the message will have a footer explaining that you have instructed Google to make a message on your behalf after you stop using your account. The submission will also include a link to all member data that they can download.

What happens if someone opts out without adding to this plan?

A Google support person says they won’t release any data to family members unless the deceased person put the plan into action. “We can work with next of kind and representatives to close the deceased person’s account if possible. Under certain circumstances, we may provide content from a deceased stoner’s account.”
